Summary<br>
Perform a variety of accounting tasks related to the CoMSUPCEN project, including, but not limited to, assisting in the preparation of monthly invoices to the government, reporting to management and the client, reviewing travel expense reports and accounts payable for JTR and FAR compliance, working with corporate office to set up and maintain projects in Costpoint, acting as point of contact for all accounting related issues between Virginia and Kentucky sites, and aiding manager as needed.<br>
Essential Functions<br>
•	QA/QC for all accounting transactions, including accounts payable, Provide payroll, billing; work directly with Kentucky co-workers to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.  <br>
•	Review travel and employee expense reports for compliance with multiple regulations/requirements; review coding and processing of accounts payable through weekly general ledger review.  <br>
•	Develop and maintain a timesheet compliance review process; conduct weekly audits of timesheet coding; communicate with various on-site employees regarding corrections/updates/revisions.  <br>
•	Perform project costing analyses and provide feedback to all levels of customer; act as point-of-contact for accounting inquiries from remote sites. <br>
•	Aid in preparation of monthly invoices to federal government.Identify and propose improvements to accounting processes between corporate accounting and CoMSUPCEN project.Potential for duties also to include facets of Human Resources and general office management related to the project.  <br>
•	Perform additional assignments per manager’s direction.<br>
<br>
Requirements<br>
•	Bachelors’ degree in accounting, finance, business administration or demonstrated equivalent or equivalent combination of training and related experience. <br>
•	3-5 years of government contracting experience required.<br>
•	Client billing experience required.<br>
•	Possess or have the ability to obtain security clearance required.<br>
•	Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.<br>
•	Working knowledge of GL is preferred.<br>
•	Deltek Costpoint experience preferred.<br>
•	Flexibility and ability to work with distant locations a must<br>

Knowledge Skills and Abilities<br>
•	Proficient in standard Microsoft Office products (Access, Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).<br>
•	Ability to prioritize and organize, works well under stress, and meet deadlines.<br>

Essential Job Functions:<br>
•	Primary responsibilities include month closing of the following functions: financial reporting, general ledger, revenue recognition, fixed assets, accounts receivable, billing, job cost, accounts payable, payroll, and treasury. <br>
•	Assist in the preparation of monthly closing of divisional financial statements and consolidated financial statements for API Cryptek Inc.  Prepare appropriate reports for variance analysis and recommend corrective action.<br>

Duties:<br>

•	Major accounting responsibilities will include General Ledger and monthly/yearly closings, Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable & billings, payroll, and interaction with both external and governmental auditors as well as special reporting associates with government contracting.  <br>
•	Major financial responsibilities will include daily reports on cash and banking activities, budgeting, internal financial reporting, external financial reporting especially those related to government contracting activities, and various other reports as directed by senior management.  <br>
•	With directives from Senior Management, the Controller will also be responsible to ensure that Accounting Policy and Procedures are being followed and implement changes as directed.  <br>

Qualifications: <br>

•	Interested candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.<br>
•	Must have working experience in government contracting and experience with Deltek GCS Premier.  <br>
•	Supervisory experience is essential as well as solid communication skills and the ability to work well with all levels of management and company personnel. <br>

Work independently and with the team on future and ongoing projects, act as an assistant project manager at the request of Senior project manager which may include: planning and coordinating multiple tasks, disseminating information.

Schedule and organize meetings with job site supervisors, subcontractors as necessary.

Post bid plans on web site, collect and organize bid documents and estimates. Contact subcontractors and suppliers to discuss the project and prices.

Manage internal and external communications for the company. Answer phones; take and relay messages.
<br>
General office management-maintain service or maintenance agreements vendors and subcontractors.
<br>
Work requires continual to detail in composing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. Must be able to work dead-line oriented environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
<br>
Must be willing to learn marketing to increase company sales.
<br>
Active marketing to increase company sales and customer portfolio by using company provided tools and networks, search new network and client.
<br>
Create and design general correspondences, memos, presentations, business plans, etc.
<br>
Develop marketing campaign for all company clients, develop presentations for sales calls with principals, architects, developers, real estate management professionals. 
<br>
Excellent command of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook applicants.3
<br>
Excellent command of Quick book Contractor version.
<br>
Must be able to prepare internal financial statement, profit and loss statement from Quick book.
<br>
Must know how to prepare AIA progress payment applications for clients and subcontractors.
<br>
Willing to work longer hours to meet the bid dead lines, must be able to work under pressure and stress.
<br>
Maintain proper cost accounting records for each job so that income and expenses can be allocated properly. 
<br>
Maintain the general ledger and insure that all transactions are properly recorded. 
<br>
Oversee and manage Accounts Payable and Receivables. 
<br>
Prepare progress payment requests for clients. 
<br>
Request and file certificate of insurance for new sub contractors, follow up and renew certificate of insurance for existing sub contractors. 
<br>
Scan or copy project drawings, post drawings to obtain bids for new projects. 
<br>
Preparation of internal financial statement, analysis and information reports. 
<br>
Frequent interaction with Vendors, Customers, and Employees. 
<br>
Help with creating and managing business organization and processes. 
<br>
Overall responsibility for the accuracy of accounting transactions. 
<br>
Monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts and manage multi-bank accounts. 
<br>
Help with general office duties. 
<br>
Working closely and openly with owner, project managers and job site supervisors as necessary to ensure optimal efficiency. 
<br>
Extremely detail oriented and organized. 
<br>
Excellent written and verbal skills, ability to multi-task. 
<br>
Be trustworthy with the ability to exercise discretion when dealing with confidential company information. 
<br>
Must be flexible, self-motivated and a team player.

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for assisting the Finance Unit with day to day activities and special projects.<br>
<br>
Responsibilities:<br>
<br>
•	Work with accounts payable to enter data into the accounting system in a timely fashions<br>
•	Maintain filing and recordkeeping systems according to unit procedures<br>
•	Assist in preparing and distributing reports to Division Directors, Project Managers and Corporate staff.<br>
•	Prepare mailings and packages to be sent to clients and staff<br>
•	Assist with maintaining account information on the Intranet and other resources<br>
•	Assist Controller and CFO with special projects and requests<br>
•	Perform other duties as assigned<br>

Qualifications<br>
<br>
•	Experience and desire to work in an accounting environment<br>
•	Excellent attention to detail<br>
•	Experience using Excel and Word on an intermediate level, experience in data entry preferred<br>
•	Good communication skills, oral and written<br>
•	Some familiarity with basics accounting principals preferred<br>
•	Authorization to work in the US required for this position.<br>

Duties & Functions:  <br>
• Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations – includes profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports. <br>
• Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.  <br>
• Provides management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities. <br>
• Directs determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets. <br>
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.  <br>
• Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.  <br>
• Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.  <br>
• Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients.  <br>
• Resolve accounting discrepancies.  <br>
• Recommend, develop and maintain financial data bases, computer software systems and manual filing systems.  <br>
• Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems.  <br>
• Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.  <br>
• Establish, or recommend to management, major corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies for company. <br>
• Recommend modifications to existing corporate programs. <br>
• Advise management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions. <br>
• Arrange for audits of company's accounts. <br>
• Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies. <br>
• Establish relations with banks and other financial institutions. <br>
• Other duties as assigned.   <br>
The ideal candidate qualifications are as follows:    <br>
• Knowledge of accounting, finance, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.  <br>
• Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.  <br>
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.  <br>
• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field plus 7 years of accounting experience.   <br>
• Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule. Experience with public, private, and international services . <br>
• Excellent organizational skills. <br>
• Excellent PC skills using MS Office and specialty software (QuickBooks & OpenAir experience, a plus). <br>
• Works well in teams. <br>

• Excellent oral and written communication skills. <br>
• Prior experience in small or start-up consulting companies a plus. <br>
