I have been trying to sell this bike for a while and now I'm desperate, and am offering this bike at a really sad low price. I need to get it and some of my other projects out of the garage so we can get the cars back inside. Can you please help me?
There is none other like it. It began with a long black stretched out beach cruiser frame, mated to a 36” Choppers U.S. chrome springer fork. This was all decked out with fitting parts and accessories, then smothered with skulls and crossbones. Some of the unique parts I used include platform pedals, enclosed sprocket, Surly Tugnut chain tensioner, Choppers U.S. rear disc brake mount, custom chopper handlebar, chrome fender and a springer saddle.
Once the bike was complete, a Wilderness Energy BD-36 electric bicycle motor system was added to make this a super fun cruiser. The bracket you see mounted on the hub motor is a mount for cyclocomputers. It provides a static location to mount a speedo sensor that isn't affected by the motion of the suspension system. It can be easily removed if you don't want to use it.
The cost for the parts currently on the bike exceeds $1100.00 and that’s not counting the parts that were bought for the project and either didn’t fit or were swapped out for better ones. It also doesn’t account for the many hours I spent researching, collecting, and experimenting with parts from all over, online and at local bike shops. There is a lot of custom fitting/machining and personal creativity in this bike and it gets a lot of attention wherever you ride it.
It’s a fun bike to ride on the road and paved trails, and it is a real performer at the beach where everybody wants to check it out. The motor is mounted in the front wheel and powered by batteries in the back. A charge usually lasts about 10 miles, depending on how much work you make it do (uphill, heavy rider, etc.), and when you get home, just plug the charger into any 110V wall socket and let the trickle charger reload the batteries. In an 8 hour shift at work, I plug it in when I arrive and when it’s time to go, my batteries are all charged up again to get me back home 7.5 miles away.
I think it would make an excellent prop for photos or videos, parade bike, or maybe just a great toy to show off.
