I'm an artist who is interested in selling my illustrations on stock photography/illustration websites. I can submit the images as jpegs, but I would much rather upload them as vectors. I'm confident that doing so would make my images much more practical for designers and result in higher sales.

I need a large number of my illustrations converted from jpeg format to AI8 compatible EPS, and I'm shopping around for the best price/quality. The final product must be editable and can not contain open paths. I'd prefer a long term relationship with a R2V converter because I plan to be generating about 50 images of various complexity each month. Obviously, converting that many images would equate to some good money. Let me know if you're interested.

We have a client who has a unique need and we thought this would be the best place to engage an expert. Here is what the client wants to do (programmatically):

1) He wants his clients to be able to download encoded pdf files (possibly with embedded media) from a web site.

2) These files shall be password protected. (Not a big problem.)

3) The passwords on these files should be unique in each instance and should be generated on the fly based on the username of the client at the time of download....

(I don't think we have a big problem, thus far. Now, here is where things start getting a bit tricky.)

4) He wants to control the number of times the pdf file can be opened AFTER it has been downloaded. (Set by a toggle in the script controlled server-side.)

5) He also wants to limit the number of times the file can be printed based on permissions given at the time of file creation.

6) In certain instances he would want the file to be incapable of opening after a certain duration or beyond a certain date.

7) Files cannot be 'Saved As' any other format or file other than the native download.

8) The file should not be readable on any computer other than the first one onto which it was downloaded.

This project requires masterful experience with pdf applications. We would need to see some prior history or related experience to engage a developer.

We are also open to having the developer do the integration with the server/databases. Reply with credentials, estimate of duration and cost for more information.

Our company has developed a site where Internet users can submit text, images, and YouTube links, and where the general Internet audience can vote on such nominations to determine a �winner� in each category. Unfortunately, our original web designer had to depart due to increased responsibilities at his other job, so our company is currently soliciting bids from web design teams interested in completing the beta website as soon as possible, then redeveloping the site or developing a new and improved version of the site by the beginning of February, as well as maintaining it through the end of the 2010 calendar year.

Our current website consists of between 10-20 pages and is built principally using PHP/MySQL, and CakePHP. We�re looking for a web design team that can take our beta site (which is between 90-95% complete) to a place where we can officially launch as soon as possible. Since there is a minimal amount of work that needs to be done, and we�d like this accomplished in as short a period of time as possible (preferably within a week), we are offering $500 for the completion of the beta website.

The work that still needs to be done on the beta site includes the following:

1. Several small content edits here and there, which we�ll provide but need you to incorporate into the site.
2. An improved, easy-to-use and comprehensive backend which allows our admins and moderators to approve, edit, or reject submission, view and edit account information, keep track of orders as they are processed and handled, and easily issue refunds or �complimentary� credits. (The backend we have right now simply isn't good enough)
3. The incorporation of financial transaction code (i.e. PayPal) to handle orders.

In the redevelopment of the site, which we would like to launch no later than the beginning of February, we would like to add a variety of new features to the site, including the following:

1. A new, polished, shiny look for the site with an emphasis on being simple and intuitive, designed around the logos and color scheme already in place (blue, white, black).
2. A feature which allows users to track the current scores on each submission, as well as total scores.
3. A feature which allows the general public to look up a person by name or e-mail address, then view and vote on each of that person�s submissions.
4. A fully integrated system for handling secure transactions, so that people can purchase nominations directly on our website without having to go through PayPal (although we�d like to retain the option of paying by PayPal).
5. A version of the site designed for mobile devices.
6. Applications for both Facebook and the iPhone which interface with the database and allow users the ability to nominate on the go, as well as track submissions and total scores in real time.
7. A customer service and feedback page that utilizes a database to keep track of every comment, complaint, or problem as it�s entered, processed, and resolved. The customer service system should be integrated with the rest of the site in such a way that users can view a list of whatever customer service or feedback submissions they have made, the status of the submission, as well as any responses from us, all on their �Account� page. On the back end, I�d like it set up so that our customer service staff can respond to incoming customer service issues with one of several prewritten letters (designed to address common problems) or a custom response when necessary, as well as easily issue either refunds or credits. There should also be a page where we can manage the collection of pre-written responses, modify them, create new ones, etc.
8. A page where individuals and companies may bid on sponsorship rights until a specific set date. Although only the highest bid (by a set date) will require payment, and that can be done by check, this �auction� system need not be integrated with the site�s financial processes, but the page and any bids made through it should still be handled via a secure process. While the names of the bidders should be hidden from the general public, the highest bid for each award should be displayed. There should be no set minimum bid amount, but bid increases must be greater or equal to $25.
9. The incorporation of an online store where customers can order certain products/services in addition to our primary product. This online store would contract for the sale of products and services provided by third parties, and would likely require some level of integration with our partner's websites.
10. The incorporation of ads into our website.

In considering bids on this contract, we will be taking several factors into consideration:

- Price: We are offering $500 for the rapid completion of the beta site and are accepting bids for the redevelopment and long term maintenance of the site. Please submit bids at an hourly rate in US dollars, or an all-inclusive rate (monthly or yearly) which covers the job requirements above and long term maintenance.
- Previous Work (please include with your bid a portfolio of your prior work, including but not limited to other websites you�ve designed)
- Promise and Reputation: We need your word that you�re able to complete development work on a reliable timetable and are easy to communicate with. Web Design Groups/Companies are preferred over individuals to ensure that work is done efficiently and to limit the risk of personal problems interfering with deadlines.
- Development Time: Please note that we would like to launch our completed beta site as soon as possible, and the new version of our website by February 1, 2009 or sooner, and the sooner the better.

Due to the large number of responses we received in response to our original search for a webmaster (500+), we will only respond to those replies which best meet our needs, include an hourly rate and portfolio of prior work (preferably links to websites). I have a carpentry company and my wife is a loan officer for home mortgages doing new purchases, refi's, and reverse mortgages. I threw together a free website for my carpentry company but would like to really get into advertising beyond craigslist and word of mouth. I have done flyers and mailers, but it is too time consuming. I would like for ads to be viewed through major search engines and produce quality leads. The problem I have found is that I have to direct people to the website and they usually have already contacted me at that point.

I don't think I'm looking for anything too particular, just a basic Word Press blog and website with standard features. However, aesthetics -- design and look -- are VERY important to me. I want these sites to look sharp and professional, and to project a serious-minded, all-American image.

Also looking for a flat-rate fee (as opposed to an hourly fee) for each site or both sites. I expect to pay $400-$1,000 for this entire project. I'll need you to teach me how to administer, maintain and build these sites.
