Micro Museum is inviting USA artists to participate in the following “open to interpretation” theme exhibits 2008 – 2010. There are ongoing rolling deadlines with art works but if your work is accepted, please send materials back as soon as possible, so that confirmation and publicity process can start. Thanks

Micro Museum® - National Juried Exhibitions
Micro Museum® invites Artists from the USA to submit art to any of the following 12 topics
MM® will provide simple PR, invitations, reception and entertainment for the opening party.
Eligibility
• Artists residing in the United States
• Original works in any medium (gallery space permitting)
• Except for the Teeny Tiny Show (must be under 12”) All works must be ready for hanging, weigh less than 10 lbs or be no more than 60”
• 3-D works should not measure over 60” in any direction ( Except for the Teeny Tiny Show)
• Works with special installation will only be included if artist is available to install
• Works accepted may be withdrawn at the curator’s discretion
• No substitutions of accepted works
• All accepted works will remain on display during the duration of the exhibit
• All works come with complete return shipping with a bar code from your local carrier or guaranteed personal pick-up service.
Insurance and Liability
Artists are responsible for insuring their own work or equipment. Micro Museum will not be responsible for loss or damage to work or equipment.
Delivery and Pick-up
• Works must be received ready for installation by the date, in accordance with your theme
• Video artists may be responsible for providing their own presentation equipment
• Pack works in reusable containers, artist is responsible for pick up, return shipment with bar code, tracking number, and/or pre-paid postage of shipment.
• Works not retrieved by the deadline will be stored in a non-archival space. Works not retrieved is not the responsibility of Micro Museum; the gallery may discard the work after 30 days.
Sales and Copyright
All pieces will be for sale, a 30% commission will be charged on works sold. Your entry grants permission for use of images on all promotional materials.
Deadlines/Calendar
• Continuous Rolling Deadline (up to 7 days before projected opening)
• Works selected must be delivered to MM® no earlier or later than 4 days before opening.
• Curator will accept no substitutions --- only the work submitted will be accepted
Image Submissions
Slides: Standard 2” x 2” plastic or paper mounts.
Label slides with number corresponding entry form, artist’s name and arrow indicating up
CD: 300 dpi, jpg
Label files with artist’s name and number corresponding to entry form, mark artist’s name on CD
Video Art: DVD submissions limited to a no more than a ten-minute
Curator will look at digital images online anytime
Participation fee
$30 – check or money order to Micro Museum

About the Curator
Kathleen Laziza, Founder of Micro Museum®. Ms. Laziza has vast experience promoting, curating and creating art in a premiere art center for artists of every discipline since the early 1980s in NYC. She is a performance artist who collaborates with William Laziza and others in videoart, interactive art and performance art causing Brooklyn Rail Magazine to call them “wickedly inventive”. She is an accomplished producer who has been hailed as “ Industrial Strength” by NY Newsday. Her curatorial programs have routinely brought over 50 visual artists to Brooklyn for public attention every year since 2002.
