Antitrust Claims Practice Manager for our Practice Support department. This position requires attention to detail, great organizational and analytical skills. This position is a
part-time position that requires attention to detail, great organizational and analytical skills, the ability to set priorities and multi-task, managing the process of incoming requests, and a strong customer service attitude. Overview of Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Stay abreast of all antitrust governmental investigations and class actions, identifying and seeking opportunities when ripe for claims on behalf of firm clients and potential clients;
- Perform market research, analyzing potential claims opportunities;
- Perform legal and factual research;
- Work with attorneys across the firm in all practice groups to identify opportunities to pitch claims opportunities;
- Communicate with potential clients and assist partners in securing clients;
- Work with attorneys to negotiate fees and payment of client costs;
- Oversee conflicts resolution process and execution of retention agreements.
Claims Management
- Develop, implement, monitor and prioritize systems/processes and procedures necessary for the claims practice;
- Work with clients to gather purchasing information to support claims and, where purchasing data is missing, work with economists and industry experts to perform gap analysis;
- Assist attorneys in working with industry experts and economists to process relevant data and perform economic analysis where data is missing in order to produce documentation of client claims;
- Serve as liaison between clients and claims administrators;
- Track deadlines and monitor status of claims;
- Oversee the claims submission and administration process, working with claims administrators to prove claims and to facilitate receipt and disbursal of funds.
Practice Management
- Lead the development of the claims practice;
- Measure and monitor the progress of the business plan and other key financial metrics;
- Develop a communication plan for clear and consistent lines of communication among attorneys and other professionals engaged in the claims practice;
- Develop innovative business and operating models that address business trends and client needs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Substantial knowledge of legal concepts, methodologies and relevant areas of law;
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of individuals both in and outside the firm, including decision makers of potential clients and clients;
- Outstanding communication skills, both oral and in writing;
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically in a pressure-filled and fast-paced environment;
- Excellent planning and project management skills;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Strong entrepreneurial focus and orientation;
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize and coordinate work;

- Strong working knowledge of computer software, including Excel, document management software, e-mail and database programs;

- Ability to maintain confidential information;
- Ability to interpret and analyze data;
- Ability to be mobile to and from work and within firm work spaces;
- Visual acuity sufficient to permit performance of job functions.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree and/or Juris Doctorate preferred.
- 10+ years of highly technical and progressively responsible experience; Business and management experience preferred; Antitrust litigation experience a plus.
