Personal Photographic Expression photography workshop starts on June 14. $235.00
The intent of this course will be to help the participant break free of preconceived and common imagery by learning to use how they personally percieve whatever they are photographing as the basis of their compositions. By basing our photographs on how we "feel" about the subject, we can be assured that we will produce a truly unique photograph. By challenging our usual routine of making photographs we will begin to push ourselves in a direction that forces us to discover things, through keen visual exploration and examining our thoughts and feelings about what we are photographing, that we usually overlook. We will use our everyday experiences and a series of weekly exercises/assignments as the fodder that nourishes our work. By focusing on what we may see as the ordinary and familiar, we will challenge ourselves to discover our personal way of perceiving whatever we choose to photograph. When we create photographs that are based in our personal perceptions and feelings, our photographs automatically stand out from the rest.
