Starting Wednesday, May 21, First Class Inc. will offer a six week online class entitled "Writing for Children." Two classes are released per week (on Wednesday and Friday) for a total of 12 classes. All for $99. Go to http://www.takeaclass.org to enroll or call 202-797-5102.
Join a published children's author and discover how you can touch the hearts of children by creating books for them. In this highly interactive, hands-on course, you'll take pen to paper and begin work on your first fiction or nonfiction manuscript. In the process, you'll explore the changing world of children's literature and understand the various formats--from baby's first books to novels for young adults. You'll get insights from guest authors and editors to gain a better understanding of the needs of today's market. By researching the genre and recognizing niche players, you'll open doors of opportunity, many of which you may not have previously considered. By the time you finish this course, you'll have all the tools and resources you'll need to continue to grow as a writer for children.
Important: The online courses are 6 weeks long and two lessons are released per week (on Wednesday and Friday). You do not need to be present when the lessons are released. The online courses require a strong commitment from each student as they are designed to pick up where our two hour seminars leave off. Once you enroll, you will be sent an E-mail on how to select a username and password for your online class. Be absolutely sure that you want to make this commitment as we are unable to issue refunds, transfers or credits under any circumstances (medical or otherwise).
