Kaplan Test Prep & Admissions, the world’s biggest and best test prep company, is looking for a Part-Time Student Advisor! Our Washington DC Kaplan Center located at 2025 M Street NW is looking for a dedicated individual who wants to make a difference in our students' lives and earn a few extra bucks in the process!
Student advisors are the front-line contact in helping students on their road to success. You would advise, counsel, and provide customer service to students both in person and on the phone. Sales experience is also a must. The position pays $10 an hour and is a great opportunity for someone currently in school or someone looking for supplemental income.
This position has three seperate hour sets listed below. Please include in your email which of the three choices you are available for.
1) Mon-Thursday: 3-8:30
2) Mon-Thursday: 5:30-10:30 Sat/Sun 9-5
3) Mon -Thur: 8:45-5:15
Some of the responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the overall administration of the Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions (KTPA) Center
- Advise students on courses and KTPA offerings
-Give sales consultations
- Interact with International Students about US Medical Licensing Exam preparation
- Distribute Training Library materials
- Assist with mailings, distribute flyers and reports & collect payments
- Proctor practice tests for courses
- Assist with in center marketing efforts
Position Requirements and/or Skills Required:
-Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills
-Proven customer service and sales ability, preferably in a retail environment
-Good organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous details
-Ability to work independently
-Diligent work ethic
-High energy level with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
-Must be authorized to work in the United States
-Bachelors degree preferred
-Ability to commit for at least Six months, as this position is not temporary
