The Department of Physics in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for adjunct faculty members to teach courses in Introductory Astronomy and/or Introductory Physics (algebra based). The positions are for the Spring 2010 semester, which runs from January 11 - May 4, 2010. Classes will have approximately 40-50 students, and will meet twice per week on weekday afternoons for 1.25 hours per session. Applicants should have a minimum of a Master's degree in Physics or related field; teaching experience at the college/university level is desirable.
