To celebrate Earth Day join the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and its co-sponsors at the National Sustainable Design Expo on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., April 20- 22, 2008. Take advantage of this opportunity to learn about sustainable technologies and ideas, meet over 50 university student teams competing for EPA’s P3 (People, Prosperity and the Planet) Award, witness live demonstrations, and talk to exhibitors working to create a sustainable future. The Expo brings together exhibitors to display their sustainable programs or technologies and is a showcase for EPA’s 4th Annual P3 (People, Prosperity and the Planet) Award competition. More than 300 college and university students (and their faculty advisors) from around the country will exhibit their designs for a sustainable tomorrow and compete for the prestigious EPA P3 Award. You’ll see novel approaches to green buildings, innovative ideas for alternative energy and materials, and new technologies for clean drinking water.
The National Sustainable Design Expo featuring EPA’s P3 Award will take place on Sunday, April 20, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Tuesday, April 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between 3rd and 4th Streets, NW, near the eastern end of the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Also, please don't hesitate to post this notice, send it to relevant venues, and inform as many friends and family as possible.
