WHY SHOULD I APPLY?
This is an excellent opportunity to experience work in the event production, and hospitality industry! It looks great on a resume and can help you in your internship/job search.
WHAT IS REQUIRED?
You will be assigned a team. Each team will be responsible for the operation of that teams tasks only, i.e., ground transportation, lodging, catering, artist meet & greet, backstage catering, artist tickets, etc. Your team task will be specific and will require you to work within a group and manage issues related to that team. For example: if you are working on the ground transportation team, you are required to know when the artist is performing, when they are departing, and organize them after their performance to ensure they make their flight or get to their final destination.
You must be professional at all times when working this event. Taking photos, calling home to mom (during the artists performance), telling an artist you're their biggest fan (or any inappropriate conversation, for that matter), demo-passing or soliciting jobs and/or internships will result in your immediate dismissal from the team, and event. You must also be willing to commit to this event once you are selected to work. Please know that we depend on our volunteers for a successful and productive event! Can only volunteer one day? That's okay! Just mark the date(s) you are available on your application. All interns and assistants must be honest, meticulous, reliable and self-sufficient in finishing a task. If one person can do more than one category, please state that in the cover letter. We love multi-tasking personalities.
IS THIS A PAID INTERNSHIP?
The simple answer is “no.” This is a strictly volunteer experience. However, this will provide you with an excellent networking opportunity and it's a great way to get real-world experience in hospitality management and the event side of the music business.
HOW DO I APPLY?
Please email info@uberlifellc.com with your contact information and we will send you an application. Simply complete the application and attach a resume for our review. We will contact you within 10 business days if we would like to meet with you for an interview.
