Since 1974, Vantage has provided human resource services to Federal Government clients in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area and nationwide.
We anticipate the availability of the Center Administrator to:
• Intake, orient and schedule clients who call or visit the Career Assistance Center. This includes providing information on career resources and services, assisting clients with using hardware, software, and computer-based and web-based training courseware.
• Evaluate and advise staff on the quality and ease of use of computer-based and web based courseware.
• Develop financial and tracking spreadsheets in Excel
• Assist the career counselors and Contract Project Director in the use of computer and web-based course design, course authoring, and training management tools.
• Prepare marketing and training materials for publication on the organization’s intranet.
• Assist the Project Director to ensure the efficient operation of the automated mentoring matching/tracking system and prepare routine and ad hoc reports as needed.
• Use a scanner and graphics tools, such as Microsoft Power Point, and Microsoft Photo Editor to create graphics and prepare and modify photographs form hard copy into electronic files in the Windows environment.
The qualifications for this position are:
• A Bachelor’s degree in any subject with two (2) years of computer-related experience or at least eighteen (18) semester hours of college course work (or six (6) courses at a technical school) in the computer field and three (3) years of computer related experience. Computer related experience is understood to mean computer operator and/or help desk experience.
• Two (2) years, in total, of recent demonstrated experience using Windows 95 or higher, a word processing software (such as WordPerfect or Microsoft Word for Windows), a spreadsheet such as Excel, at least one graphics package (such as Microsoft PowerPoint), at least one database package (such as Microsoft Access) at least one major Web browser (such as Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator), and LAN Systems.
• Must have excellent skills and experience developing financial spreadsheets using Excel.
• Preferably experience in using and adapting web-based course design, authoring, and training management tools.
