Mobilize Grassroots Support for the Democratic Party and
Help Win Back the White House!

Now Hiring Leadership Staff: Grassroots Campaigns, Inc.

Americans are hungry for change, and now is the time to convert that movement into concrete results. We must win back the White House and elect strong Democrats up and down the ballot in order to solve global warming, provide healthcare for all Americans, end corruption in Washington, and change course in Iraq. We can’t afford another 8 years of Bush-style governing from John McCain and the Republican establishment.

Grassroots Campaigns, Inc. is currently hiring Citizen Outreach Directors and Assistant Citizen Outreach Directors to run local field campaigns. We are running our campaigns on behalf of the National Democratic Party (the DNC), which has retained GCI for this project. Directors will be responsible for recruiting, training and managing campaign teams of 15-50 paid campaign staff here in Washington, DC. Your team will reach out to local citizens, identify supporters, and sign people up to give grassroots financial support and volunteer their time for get-out-the-vote efforts. Face-to-face conversations are the best way to motivate people to take political action, and our work can help tip the balance in November.

Candidates need to be effective public speakers and one-on-one communicators who are able to work with and motivate a wide range of people, and can juggle multiple responsibilities. These are roll-up-your sleeves campaign jobs. Prior political field work is not a requirement; we provide apprenticeship and experience to strong entry-level candidates who are looking for a way to start making a difference through grassroots politics. However, relevant experience is an asset and may qualify applicants for additional leadership responsibility.

Citizen Outreach Directors (and Assistant Directors) will:

*Recruit, train, and manage teams of 15-50 canvassers
*Develop plans for geographic targeting, and organize field logistics for their campaign
*Handle administrative responsibilities (income, expenses, payroll, etc.)
*Run an operation resulting in 30,000-100,000 contacts and raising $125,000-$500,000.

We need directors in Washington, DC and are accepting applications for other cities around the US.

TO APPLY: Send cover letter and resume to Peter at jobs@grassrootscampaigns.com or visit our website: www.grassrootscampaigns.com/jobs.php.

Grassroots Campaigns is an independent political consulting firm that specializes in running field operations and fundraising for progressive candidates, causes, and organizations. Current and past clients include: Environmental Action, the League of Conservation Voters, the Democratic National Committee, the American Civil Liberties Union, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, MoveOn PAC, Amnesty International, Save the Children, and the Center for American Progress. Applicants will be employed by GCI directly, not by our campaign partners.
