Potomac Fine Foods, producer of the Cava Mezze line of fresh, all-natural Greek dips and spreads, is looking for a Marketing Associate / Brand Ambassador. This is a rapidly growing company with great opportunities for a hard-working, resourceful, enthusiastic associate to get involved during these early stages of the business. This position is essential to our continued growth and will be responsible for building the Cava Mezze brand primarily through in-store sampling and merchandising.
The main responsibility of this job is to conduct product demonstrations at places where the products are sold, and at relevant events and gatherings. This job allows for a flexible schedule. Product demos are typically 2-3 hours long, and correspond with the busiest shopping times. Cava Mezze products are sold at all Whole Foods Market locations throughout the DC & Baltimore Metropolitan Areas, as well as other gourmet grocers in the region.
Responsibilities:
• Perform 7-8 In-Store Demos (samplings at Whole Foods Market and key retail accounts) each week
• Occasionally perform guerilla samplings or samplings at special events
• Seek out guerrilla marketing opportunities
• Participate in product kick-offs at new stores in the region
• Be a courteous and responsible driver at all times
• Manage and maintain supplies used for product demos
• Represent this exciting new brand
• Report to management about consumer response to the brand/products
• Perform merchandising functions as needed
• Eventually, train new members of the team
Requirements:
• Must be able to work weekends
• Good driving record and insurance, required
• Daily access to a vehicle
• Access to a digital camera
• Experience in sales, and food product sampling, preferred but not required
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Must ensure a professional appearance – neat, clean and appropriately groomed
• Must be able to regularly lift at least 25 pounds
