Marketing/Sales for Gov't Contractor -Event/Meeting Planning Svcs

A Washington D.C.-based firm is looking to hire a marketing/sales coordinator to develop and implement a marketing strategy for procuring government contracts on a new GSA (General Services Administration) schedule for Event and Conference Management services.

We are looking for a candidate who would be eager to break into this new market for us, develop relationships in the industry, and procure new contracts (or possibly sub-contracts with larger companies). The candidate should have a background in sales/marketing, possess excellent communication skills, and have obtained a college degree. Experience in government contract procurement and/or event and meeting planning will be considered a plus.

Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience, but bonuses and salary increases will be awarded for bringing in new contracts for the firm.
