Ogilvy PR is seeking a digital-savvy Producer to join the Creative Studio as a Moving Media Producer in our Washington DC office. The Producer will plan, organize and coordinate the production of digital video for web, and broadcast for television and radio programs. Ogilvy PR’s Moving Media group identifies the proper distribution channel for each project—episodic, broadband and viral—that are delivered via mobile, internet, desktops, plus gaming and reality TV content. Essentially, in the world of YouTube, Facebook and Twitter, we strive to stay ahead of the curve of media that moves.
Responsibilities
Plan, organize and coordinate the production of digital video for web, and broadcast for television and radio programs. Assist in determining program content development and treatments, create budgets and schedules and manage project specific costs. It is the responsibility of this position to ensure everything runs smoothly within a project, on set, in edit, and within a set budget. The Producer will establish and maintain a positive and productive work atmosphere and make sure the entire team is working together. At any given time, you may have responsibility of managing multiple active projects with varied schedules. In some situations, the ideal candidate may also prepare scripts, do some of the work of a production crew member, or direct production activities.
Requirements
§ 5-7 years of traditional broadcast experience in technical or production positions; digital video savvy is highly desirable
§ Bachelors degree in broadcasting or related field
§ Demonstrated success working in a team-oriented environment and with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds
· Excellent communication, listening and negotiating skills
· Demonstrated ability to hold a vision for how program elements will come together to create the effect you want as well as the ability to convey your vision to others
· High resilience and energy level required to handle stress, “roll with the punches”, and cope with the constant pressure of tight production deadlines
· Ability to see the “big picture” without losing sight of the details
· High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and the ability keep everyone on track
· A high degree of computer literacy
