Voice and Motion Players (VAMP) is a non-profit, drama-in-education organization that specializes in helping urban youth develop various skills essential to their social-emotional development. VAMP enables participants to discover new and insightful ways to approach problems, clarify values, express feelings, build critical thinking skills, and practice more positive and productive behaviors. Using interactive and hands-on techniques, we help participants explore situations so that they can learn to become focused, goal-oriented and resourceful.

We are currently in the process of expanding our operations and are interested in hiring a team of culturally and professionally competent, energetic and motivated individuals, both male and female, who have an interest in working with youth of all ages in a highly interactive and innovative capacity.

Individuals with backgrounds in Theatre, Dance, Music, Art, Education, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, etc, are strongly encouraged to apply.

Available projects range from one day per week to several, with flexible time slots. Projects normally span over a course of 6-12 weeks. Daytime and evening work is available. Individuals who are hired will be required to complete intensive training in the VAMP approach.

Specific Skills/Qualifications   

- 3+ years of demonstrated experience as a graphic designer in print and/or online industries.

- Excellent organizational skills, combined with superior knowledge of and experience with print graphic design.   

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

- Additional ability in web design, print/online advertising, illustration, photography, editing and proofreading a plus.   

- Successfully demonstrated experience in typography, identity, publication, Webdesign and information design.   

- Demonstrated excellence with Macintosh programs, including, but not limited to, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Knowledge of Dreamweaver a plus.

We are a national collegiate quarterly with offices in Wash. DC and Burbank, CA. Our target audience is the young, hip, and educated college demographic. Albeit, we are just as fresh, yet more entertaining than any magazine on shelf. One of our most distinctive features is our unrelenting committment to provide a creative platform for graduates and matriculating college students.
