Ocean Conservancy is looking for an environmentally engaged college student or recent graduate to be our legislative affairs intern. Data entry will be a primary responsibility. Other duties include but are not limited to taking notes on and observing meetings and congressional hearings, distributing materials to Capitol Hill offices, and drafting correspondence. We are a fairly small office, and you will occasionally be expected to assist others in a number of ways. This position is ideal for those looking to hone their database skills, or their political chops. Familiarity with the legislative process is a plus. We will need a commitment of at least 20 hours a week, and can offer a travel stipend and academic credit. To respond, please send a cover letter and resume to oceanintern@gmail.com.
