Overview:

Responsibilities:

• Track funding opportunities from Federal and state contract and grants announcements using electronic data inputs and distribute items of interest to program staff in electronic tracking system.
• Maintain data in electronic system regarding status of funding opportunities being tracked and pursued.
• Track results of bids and prepare proposal results reports summarizing current quarter/year outcomes for senior level officers and CEO.
• Provide training use of electronic funding tracking system to other staff.
• Maintain electronic library of proposals
• Help proposal teams to locate materials.
• Create collaborative workspaces for proposal and project work in MicroSoft SharePoint and provide training for individuals and teams on the features.
• Provide support and trouble shooting for applications and collaboration sites.
• Extract usage logs for selected intranet sites and compile data.
• Help keep organization’s Intranet homepage and proposal pages up-to-date
• Research special topics for improvements to the Intranet.
• Seek to understand work issues staff face and ways in which technology can meet those needs

Qualifications:

• BA in liberal arts with 2-3 years experience preferably in a research firm; (masters degree preferred)
• Position requires reporting responsibilities and therefore attention to detail is particularly important;
• Good organizational and analytical skills
• Excellent writing skills
• Some understanding of federal and state government procurement processes as well as familiarity with proposal processes would be helpful;
• Computer skills: Advanced facility with Excel, including use of macros and formatting; some web design experience; knowledge of SharePoint a plus;
• Exceptional people skills: ability to work responsively in a support role;
• Interest in and enthusiasm for learning about and using new technologies
