After having "surfed" C.L. pet listings now for endless hours and days I am convinced that this place is filled with unscrupulous people who are trying to collect $150-$250 "adoption fees" for kittens, puppies, old dogs, mutts, young dogs etc.... Ads for FREE animals are flagged and removed. Ads are placed by people who want BIG BUCKS for animals who have not even been spayed or neutered yet; and they are not associated with Humane Society's or large well known Rescue Groups.
I would not be surprised if these people were FLAGGING the free to good home animals, or the low adoption fee animals and trying to "re-sell" them as if they'd spent a fortune on them. I know for a fact that the rescue groups that I know of get donated food and low cost vet care. And a lot of these animals are to young to have even received ONE BIT OF vet care! You people should be ASHAMED! You know who you are. Go ahead and flag me... I am going to keep posting. Especially you who has the little kittens that want to charge $250 adoption fee! Who are you kidding? Do you let your cat have litters so that you can make some xtra cash? People looking for pets beware that this is NOT a MONEY MAKING SITE!!! If a person can show you a receipt from a vet showing what they paid for a specific animal, that sounds fair. Otherwise, be careful.
