Let the oil companies keep the lousy 18 cents a gallon. Truck drivers would only average saving $66.00 a fill up. Just chump change. We got Obama now we don't need to do anything but hope, and it want be long before our gas tasks are full.

Hillary's plan is terrible. By saying ‘I want the oil companies to pay the gas tax this summer out of their record profits’ all she is doing in pandering in the worst way, and ensuring that gas prices will actually go up, not down this summer.
Think about it. Whenever a tax is put on corporations, what is the response? Do the corporations simply take the money out of their retained earnings/profits? No, of course not. What they do is raise prices of their products by the amount of the tax, sometimes a little more, and we the poor saps people like Hillary claim to be looking out for end up paying the tax.
At least McCain’s plan doesn’t require a replacement of the funds, which theoretically should result in a reduction of prices But, any plan that takes money away from the nations transportation infrastructure, especially for a no good reason like scoring some worthless political brownie points is a bad idea.
Senator Obama should be commended for taking a principled stance and not succumbing to the nonsense.
