I'm driving to Oakland NJ on Friday afternoon and don't want to spend those four hours in silence. Or paying for all my own gas. I can drop you at a train station into NYC if you want, or anywhere reasonably close to Oakland. I'm looking to leave from Georgetown at 3:30, but could leave from Alexandria (Braddock Rd metro station) at 4 if that works better for you. I'm coming back sometime on Sunday afternoon. I have no set time, so whatever works for you as long as it's not too late.

I don't care if you smoke in my car (as long as the window is down) and you should be okay with me having two or three to pass some time. I'm a very friendly person and will most likely be listening to Britney Spears or The Decemberists the whole way there.

I've got a friend to go see in Macon before he ships off to the sandbox.
If, on the off chance you're going to Atlanta, GA and back, maybe something along these lines would work...

The only things that constrain my schedule:
Last class for the week ends at 4:45 16 October, in College Park.
My friend flies in from Seattle the evening of the 17th. I can wait for him in Atlanta, or he can wait for me, so I can get to Macon. So: arrive in Atlanta +- 5 hours around "the evening".

My friend drives back up to Atlanta from Macon around noon Sunday the 19th for a concert that afternoon.
I have a not-so-crucial class at noon Monday the 20th, back up in College Park.
I have very crucial classes starting at noon on Tuesday.

If you've got any trip planned that would work within those constraints, and you want an extra person along to split gas etc, who is a capable driver, and is licensed (but not insured, as I don't own a car), get back to me.

I live in Mount Pleasant, but can get anywhere in the metro area by, uh, Metro or bicycle. Mostly bicycle.

Even better if you're heading to Macon directly! Or points further south, and you don't mind the detour.

anyone moving to the boston area the last week in October?? (DC)

Hi, I am moving to Boston the last week of October and am looking to share a truck with someone. I don't have any furniture, just boxes and suitcases, but I think my plan of shipping everything isn't going to cut it.

The only reason I am not renting my own truck/ van is because I don't have a license, so you would have to do the driving, but I would chip in a little more for the rental and the gas.

I am female and would also prefer a female.

Looking to move anytime in that last week of October from the DC area to the Boston area.
