There is an available YEAR-LONG lease for master bedroom in a two-story rowhouse about two blocks from the Columbia Heights Metro. The house is a three-bedroom with washer/dryer, a back porch, and friendly housemates. The room has a walk-in closet, plenty of space and light and a street view with multiple windows. There is a bed and desk that will be in the room when you move in.
One of us is a Capitol Hill staffer in his mid-twenties, while the other person (moving in in August--current housemate and sublettor until then) is a paralegal at a civil rights law firm downtown. We are both fairly liberal and uninhibited, and we welcome another of the same. We would enjoy frank and easygoing company, hopefully with shared interests and plenty of enthusiasm.
Ideally you would be in your early to mid twenties with a cool sense of purpose or a cool lack of purpose in life. You should probably enjoy my roommate's vegan diet and my labor-intensive cooking projects. You should like music and even dancing. Do you like bourbon? This house does.
Room would be available June 1st. Utilities are not included, and run around $60 in the summer and $120 in the winter.
