ICF International seeks a Research Assistant to work within the Community, Family, and Education Studies (CFES) business unit, specifically working in the areas of education, child and family issues, welfare, poverty, and youth related programs. The CFES team works in partnership with Federal, State and Local government clients in two major project areas: 1) research and evaluation studies that increase their knowledge base by assessing programs and making recommendations for improvement, and 2) training and technical assistance projects that support their programs through the development of websites, conferences, and other means of communication.
The Research Assistant will contribute to the development of innovative, accurate, timely, and high-quality solutions and services, typically working on multiple projects with all levels of staff. Responsibilities include assisting with conducting interviews and surveys; collecting, entering, and analyzing data; reviewing literature; solving quantitative problems; planning and running conferences; and interacting with clients and grantees.
Research Assistants at ICF have an opportunity to apply their academic knowledge, gain exposure to major projects, interact with experts in the field, while building content knowledge and consulting skills. Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, or a related Social Science subject and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher required.
Excellent written and oral communications skills and the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment required.
