Dynamic IT solutions provider seeks the immediate need for an experienced Senior Applications Developer to work for our Federal Government Agency client in Alexandria, Virginia. Senior Application Developer:
Provide full System Development Lifecycle support for applications and related systems. Responsible for designing, developing, and modifying application programs (both desktop and web). Responsible for the top-level design, coding, testing, debugging and integration of software programs. Has full technical knowledge of all phases of application programming. Provide support for software development, specification development, system design, programming, and testing using software applications. Strong experience required with C#, VB.Net and the .NET Framework (especially 2.0 and 3.5). Mid level to strong experience required in working with web applications and web services with ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, XML, XSL and CSS. Strong experience required with database design and implementation on SQL 2005 including SQL scripting, stored procedures, triggers, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Reporting Services, and the ability to analyze and develop database structures. Strong experience required with IIS6. Experience with SQL 2008 and IIS7 a plus. Strong experience developing reusable components and adhering to object oriented principles. Strong knowledge of design patterns, object oriented programming and Service Oriented Architecture is mandatory. Higher Levels of consideration will be given to candidates with experience in Microsoft’s WSS 3.0 SDK, WCF, WPF, Silverlight, JQuery, Telerik RAD controls and Database design tools.
Education: B.S. degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
Experience: Minimum of EIGHT (8) years related experience.
