We are looking for senior software engineers to perform Portal Development and Maintenance. Developers will be responsible for the design, development, testing, integration, and the promotion of code from test to production environment. Tasks will include: code enhancement, application and architecture defect resolution, developing solutions for system to system interfaces, resolving and planning for scalability, usability and accessibility upgrades and feature improvements.
We follow an iterative development lifecycle (IDL) where, at any given time, there will be functionalities that are in different stages of development from high-level requirements to partial implementation.
Successful candidates will have a firm understanding of the Internet, follow modern Java, and be able to apply solutions according to the Release Specification and Information Architecture using BEA WebLogic Portal Admin Tools.
Requirements:
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• At least 8 years programming experience and 5 years of software engineering experience in Java Enterprise Edition
• Understanding of modern web application design techniques
• Experience with BEA WebLogic Portal Admin Tools
• Experience in Rational Unified Process (RUP) and Rational software development tools
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfortable coding in every tier of the application
• Extensive knowledge of Unix/Solaris and Oracle
• Experience developing/designing large software systems
