Seeking a professional (male or female) to sublet my furnished room from June-December while I’m on assignment to the Middle East. What you get: a nicely furnished bedroom in a brand new 2-bedroom / 1-bath apartment in the Eckington/Bloomingdale neighborhood. Bedroom has everything you need—bed, dresser, shelves, desk, laundry basket, ceiling fan, etc. Apartment has bamboo floors, jacuzzi tub, stainless steel kitchen appliances, fully stocked kitchen (pots, pans, dishes), washer/dryer, wireless internet, cable, and monthly cleaning service. (See pictures) $975 includes everything.
Street parking is easy and so is public transport. 3 blocks from redline NY Ave metro, 5 blocks from greenline Howard metro, 5 minutes from Capitol Hill and U Street/Adam’s Morgan by bus (routes 80, P6, 90, 92, and G2 are steps away). Perfect for a professional with a long commute from Virginia or Maryland looking to sleep somewhere during the week. Also perfect for someone transitioning to DC while they figure out where they want to live. No college students or smokers.
My brother lives in the other bedroom. He is 31, extremely quiet, and busy with work and night classes. There is a good possibility you can stay for longer than 6 months if you like the apartment.
