Townhouse in North Georgetown (Glover Park) looking for a sixth to take a unfurnished room on the second floor in a residential, quiet, safe, tree-lined neighborhood for the summer (June-August). The house is 2 and a half blocks from Wisconsin Ave and the 30 bus (30 minute ride to Metro Center). The stop for the D2 directly to Dupont Circle and the metro is less than a block away (12 minute ride to the metro). Rock Creek Park hiking and running trails are just down the street.
With May graduation, one roommate moved out and opened up the place to a sixth roommate. We are all students and professionals in the city. We are very much laid back and easy to live with. We are pretty good about spending time together in the common areas while still respecting the privacy of each other when in our own rooms.
Utilities would be split six ways: gas, water, electric, cable, and internet. We have a main floor with living room (TV, DVD, TiVo), full kitchen with many appliances, den with ping-pong table, and grill in the back. Basement has washer and dryer units. There’s a spare parking spot in the back of the house if needed.
You would share a main shower/tub with two other people.
We are looking for someone in his or her twenties, working or studying in the city. AU, Georgetown, and George Washington Mt. Vernon campus are in walking distance. The 30 bus takes you directly to the George Washington Foggy Bottom campus.
No pets, no smoking inside the house. Month-to-month rent (paid at the beginning of each month), no deposit.
