This post is for kind of a unique room in a great house in Georgetown. The house itself is in a great location, one block off of M Street and right in the middle of the cultural center of Georgetown, but it's on a very quiet tree-lined street right on Rose Park so it's 1 block removed from everything.

The room itself has two levels. On the first level is a couch that pulls out into a queen bed, a tv and dvd player, large hanging closet and another closet with shelves. There is also a chair and side table, as well as a workout bench and exercise bike that can either stay or be removed. A skylight and two windows provide tons of natural light.

Upstairs is a queen size bed, another television, and a lot of storage space. The only trick to this is that we have always been able to find the right person who doesn't mind climbing the ladder to get up there (it isn't really that hard at all, we've had girls and guys in this room...but you really need to be ok with the ladder concept) - we've found that when the bed is downstairs it takes up too much space, and it's really fun to have a living room all to yourself separate from the bed upstairs.

The room also has wireless internet, AC and heat controlled in the room, and it's about 2 feet away from the bathroom right outside the door.

The roommate is a female in her mid-20s. She's very easy-going.

The apartment is basic and in an older building, the living room has a couch, table, TV, and coffee table; my room only has a bed. The area is great -- the intersection of U St, Adams Morgan, and Dupont Circle, and you can't beat this price for the area. Another thing you should know is that there is no laundry machines in the building. It hasn't been an issue with me since there's a laundromat four blocks away. The place will only be available for one month, until the end of August.
