We are looking for many Installation Technicians to travel across the US installing computer equipment to various Government locations. The opportunity is expected to last 4+ months starting on December 1st. You will be able to travel home for weekends. The hourly rate is expected to be between $20-$23/hr based on experience plus standard per diem rates. The job requirements are below. Job Requirements:
1. You must have an active Top Secret Clearance
2. You must be willing to do 100% travel
3. You must be willing to work a minimum of 4 months on this project (it could last longer)
4. You must be able to start on December 1st.
5. Connecting peripheral equipment to the network (Printers, etc.)
6. A+ certification is preferred, but PC Tech type work is required
7. Ghost Imaging is required
8. Refreshing and Refurbishing legacy equipment
9. Unloading, unpacking boxes.
10. You must have a credit card for travel expenses which will be reimbursed monthly before your bill is due
Here are some more details on the contract:
-You will travel in teams of 5-10 in the same geographic region. For instance if you start in Las Vegas, it isn’t likely you will go to Orlando next.
-You will be 1099 (responsible for your taxes, they will not be withheld) which is typical for contractors and may not be anything new to you.
-You will be traveling home most weekends
-One of the requirements we have decided on is that you have a credit card. We originally were going to pay for this up front, but with such a huge contract of 70+ contractors, we have decided it is in our best interest to have contractors pay on their card and we will reimburse them each month BEFORE they need to pay the bill. The positive on this is that you will earn points and airline miles, and you will always have the money to pay it off each month.
-All the travel arrangements will be made for you (hotel, flights, and car rentals).
-You will get a per diem of $40/day (might change slightly depending on what location you are at)
-A week or two from now we will get you set up to take the Dell Certification that is required for those who don’t already have it. It is done online, should take just a few hours all together, and you have up to 3 times to take the test. You must pass it by the 3rd try to work on this contract.
-There will be no face to face interviews, but you may get a call from the team lead or someone from Dell for a phone screen. In general, they trust us to find the right people, so there isn’t much of an interview process.
