I went last week and found a roach in my meal after I already ate half of it. Needless to say 2 hour later I got really sick and was in bed for 3 days with horrible food poisoning. I feel as a community we all do our part and spread the work of places like this that are unsanitary making customers sick!
I cannot give the name of the restaurant due to slander but I can say that it is on the corner of 17th and R located directly across starbucks and on the same side of the street from cosi..

Why I Hate DC (really it's just the traffic) - a list (All around D.C.)

I just read an article about how D.C. drivers (including MD and VA) get in 80% more accidents than the rest of America (on average)... led me to think of why I hate the area:

I seriously day dream that each jerk driver I run into wrecks his car or it blows up and he dies painfully with his last thoughts being of his mocha organic vegeterian low fat extra sweet a little sour latte (120 degrees) from Starbucks (grande barista le escargo sized) that he spilled on his Suburban's interior right before his car blew up.. usually this day dream is preceded by them cutting me off in said Suburban while talking on the cell phone.

Or drivers who switch lanes five times back and forth because one goes faster than the other and so on, so forth.. eventually ending right beside me at the next light.

Or slow drivers in the left lane who think it's okay to drive 2mph over the speed limit and if people don't like it too bad.

Or people who swerve dangerously every two seconds to avoid potholes (really impossible anyways) making us wonder if you are drunk or just really excited about the dent you're about to put in the side of my car.

Or people who drift through red lights because they think they are so slick even though it doesn't turn green until they are already all the way across the street (sometimes accompanied by superficial fake suntan girl that is impressed by said douchebag's "slick" moves).

Or people who lay on the horn the NANO SECOND the light turns green if you don't gun your engine to the next RED LIGHT.

Or when you are merging and someone behind you can't wait their turn and floors it to take the spot you were about to.

Or when you are slowly merging into heavy traffic and someone (probably in some huge blinged out luxury car and on cell phone) who hasn't let anyone merge in front of them will floor it so they are riding the ass of the car immediately in front of them just to keep you from merging there despite the fact they are averaging 2mph in this stop and go traffic.

The copious construction that shuts down heavily used lanes at stupid times (e.g.: rush hour, weekends, holidays) because apparently they are too good to work at 2am or pay for enough workers to do the work quickly (lowest bidder!).

The pretentious folks that lecture about public transportation but on the same note admit it's already over taxed, under funded and filled with smelly people that like to grope, stare and steal ipods.

The hybrids (I'm eyeing you Prius owners) that pass me going 75-85mph because they bought a 25,000$ car to save money on gas and yeah you see what I'm saying here.

Or single women in heavy duty pickups and full size+ SUV's that are all "blinged" out and obviously not used for kids or work.

The people who like to leave 1,000 feet between their car and the car in front of them, but then drift slowly at red lights until they are super close to car in front of them, then wait again when it turns green so they get 1,000 feet of comfort in front of them.

The cops that drive on the beltway at rush hour. I thought there was some unspoken policy that you leave cars alone there so rush hour traffic doesn't come a screaching halt behind you because everyone is like OMFG a cop. Anyways, don't you all have somewhere to hang out along route 1? The other night I saw three locations in which THREE COP CARS were pulling over one car. But then that's how Fairfax county meets it's budget so....

The buses that stop at multiple bus stops literally on the same block. Are you kidding me!? Bus riders must be the laziest of all travelers!

Big trucks and SUV's that don't leave a large enough interval in front of them so when they make sudden stops I'm like OH SHIT and have to slam on the brakes... even though *I* keep good interval... because I can't see around or through your ego stroking tank. This one with the caveat that if I keep enough interval to compensate for your crazy braking people would simply pass me and fill it.

Which leads me to people who can't let me have my interval. On the highway when I'm surrounded on all sides by four lanes of 2-ton objects moving 70+mph I like to keep a few car lengths between me and the next car but no, you guys think it means I'm not keeping up with traffic, even if I clearly have been for the past ten miles!

Oh this one REALLY gets me mad, those chill folks out there who buy Crown Vics, Marauders, Impalas, etc, and install mirrors, paint it white and buy police tires so that they trick people into thinking their cops. Or the other handful that buy used cars at police auctions. Sorry you are neither cool or slick. You're a jerk, plain and simple. And every time I see you, it's one of the few times I decide to be a jerk not get out of your way. I'm pretty sure most people react the same way. You are the kind whose car I fantisize blowing up a lot.

Or city planners who lay out traffic circles in the most dangerous, illogical manner possible... and the local drivers who go 90mph through them thinking they need to rush home to their 300,000$, 500sq ft "hip" condo in a "happening" downtown to and think about how much they love living in the city and how much cooler they are than people who don't... but really, secretly they hate it but are trapped there until something better comes along.

It's been said by some that the FDA is a thoroughly corrupt organization, run in part by those hired from chemical companies like Monsanto--in fact, it's a tactical spider's web of deceit concerning our interests, the American public. They are acting in the best interest of their Bosses--those who got them their jobs, in fact. When this organization raids a religious man's property and steals/or confiscates it because he sells raw milk--things have gone too far. Why is only Pasteurized LEGAL? Small time dairies are much more consciencious about cleanliness, health of their animals and product quality. Corporations act in the best interests of Big Business, not every day people, like you and me. They don't care about us. Not at all. They want our $$s.

It shouldn't be against the law to recommend a certain vitamin supplement or to 'read someone's irises' to help them, thus being labelled, 'practicing medicine without a license.' The doctors don't have a handle on sickness in this country, and neither do the so-called 'Researchers;' it's just an on-going, self-perpetuating Empire. At our Expense. Always at our expense. How far are we going to let this go? See George Carlin's speech on YouTube, 'Tells the Truth,' if it's still there. Do you know what the military/industrial complex is? Or better, I mean, worse, yet, the "Petro/Chemical/Military/Industrial complex." Get the picture? Those men and women watching us--to make sure we don't break those crazy laws--laws created in the interests of those mentioned above? Chemical drugs pushed on us by the 'Medication Society,' or Doctors and lawyers--and Security watching us to make sure we comply.
