One Lucky, Deserving Family will be Featured on a TV Pilot Produced by Mike Ayala (Producer for NBC HouseSmarts)
Washington, D.C.- Adrienne van Dooren, renowned artist, design expert, author and soon to be co-star of the TV pilot, Drab-Fab-Sold!, is excited to announce that the search has begun for a deserving family to be featured on the upcoming pilot T.V. show produced by NBC House Smarts producer, Mike Ayala.
..
The show will be filmed in the D.C. area. Applications from deserving families must be submitted by May 30.. Adrienne’s co-star, Susan Colwell, CEO of MyGreenCottage Building firm, adds “We also hope to involve Ed Begley, Jr. environmentalist, actor and spokesperson for MyGreenCottage. Our goal is to show that you can give a house a facelift without major surgery, without ripping out cabinets, tile, floors, etc and filling our landfills.”
Criteria for applicants are:
1) Live within 50 miles of Washington, D.C.
2) Have a compelling need to sell their house in the next 18 months
The lucky family selected will receive a green home makeover and staging designed to increase the sales price for their home in a down market, thus allowing them to make their move. Assuming the show is picked up by the network, runner-ups will be considered for the 13 follow-on episodes.
Volunteers who would like to help in the renovation are also needed for the pilot. Both skilled and unskilled applicants are welcome. To obtain an application for participation in this project, email chair@fauxhouse.com and specify “family” or “volunteer”
