ProQuest is looking for a freelance editor for the Medical Evidence Matters database. The candidate will analyze and interpret bioinformatics information provided in published medical journal literature relating to clinical treatment of specific diseases, edit and index material for inclusion in the database, and return material in a timely fashion.
The candidate should have:
• Familiarity with evidence-based medicine
• Familiarity with medical/pharmaceutical terminology
• Familiarity with basic statistics
• Internet Access through a minimum of cable modem and a minimum operating system of Windows XP, for use of Remote Desktop
• Must be able to install VPN (Virtual Private Network) on computer.
• Fluency in the English language
The position is based in the Washington, DC, area. Hours are part time.
