Position Summary:
MSI is seeking a mid-level Communications and Training Specialist to support the USAID Development Outreach and Communications Training (DOC) Program, which is implemented by the Bureau for Legislative and Public Affairs. You will work alongside product managers on new sites and features, rapidly develop hi fidelity flows and mockups, and ideally, translate those ideas into full, standards-compliant HTML/CSS pages for implementation across our network of sites. For this last part, you will work closely with a team of front-end engineers.

Required Qualifications:
• A killer portfolio
• Experience designing rich interactive media experiences for the web. Ideally, you’ve spent serious time designing content experiences for the web -- so blogs, news, sports or entertainment sites, review sites, etc. all qualify.
• A strong sense of design, layout/composition, typography, and color
• Comprehensive knowledge of Adobe Photoshop a must, including: Layer Effects, Layer Comps, (slicing, optimizing, etc.)
• Adobe Illustrator and print experience a plus but not required
• Cross-browser, cross-platform knowledge of CSS and front end development.
• Ability to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently, with high productivity.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience in a sales and/or customer relations capacity, preferably in an event production environment with audio visual staging experience. IT and Networking skills are a plus. A strong customer service demeanor with a desire to provide unequaled service coupled with excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills are necessary.
A Bachelor degree in a related field is preferred, but not required.

CREATIVE COORDINATOR - Working alongside our Event Producers & Sales Executives, the ideal candidate for this position will be able to conceptualize design ideas and convey them in the form of detailed renderings (preferably using a CAD 3D program like Vectorworks), design boards and/or Powerpoint/Keynote presentations. Once a design concept is agreed upon by a client, the Creative Coordinator will aid in translating the designs to our Production Staff, using detailed CAD drawings when needed. Responsibilities also include management of all company print and online marketing collateral with regular updates to the website and frequent press releases. Graphic design experience is mandatory along with team management and client facing skills.
