I.M. System Group, Inc. (IMSG), www.imsg.com a government contractor with headquarters in Rockville and with operations throughout the U.S. is seeking to hire a qualified candidate for the position of Controller. The Controller will be an integral part of the accounting & financial operations of this organization and will be responsible for various financial responsibilities within the accounting department.
Duties:
• Major accounting responsibilities will include General Ledger and monthly/yearly closings, Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable & billings, payroll, and interaction with both external and governmental auditors as well as special reporting associates with government contracting.
• Major financial responsibilities will include daily reports on cash and banking activities, budgeting, internal financial reporting, external financial reporting especially those related to government contracting activities, and various other reports as directed by senior management.
• With directives from Senior Management, the Controller will also be responsible to ensure that Accounting Policy and Procedures are being followed and implement changes as directed.
Qualifications:
• Interested candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Must have working experience in government contracting and experience with Deltek GCS Premier.
• Supervisory experience is essential as well as solid communication skills and the ability to work well with all levels of management and company personnel.
