You will go through an extensive background search process and you will be finger printed. The owner of the company is looking for a PERSONAL ASSISTANT who will be supplied a fully furnished room, cable, internet & meals. Your requirements are as follows: you will be the owner’s right hand you will be required to answer both personal and business calls and direct them properly. Take notes, type memos, carryout errors both personal & business (MUST HAVE CAR), check and respond to emails, open mail, perform A/P and A/R for both owners bills and business bills, be the middle person between the owner and staff when the owner is unavailable. You need some kind of business background along with people skills as you will be asked to make tons of phone calls. You MUST know some of word, excel, power point, publishing & QuickBooks (will train the right person) Hours are flexible but not to your schedule. •	Be the lead person with the affiliate, training the affiliate on procedures for transmitting accounting information, and communicating with affiliate on a regular   basis to make sure that all accounting activity is being properly recorded and presented.<br>
•	Set up affiliate in our payroll system, and generate bi-weekly pay-checks based on information and time-sheets received from affiliate.<br>
•	Arrange for weekly payment of checks, based on invoices sent electronically to our office.  <br>
•	Arrange for proper coding and signatures.<br>
•	Record all account activity into Solomon, including cash receipts.<br>
•	Reconcile all balance sheet accounts at month-end, and prepare monthly financial statements for affiliate use, using FRX drill-down.<br>
•	Review financial statements and management reports and make recommendations to management based on the information contained therein.<br>
•	At year-end, arrange for the affiliate to be audited, and provide auditors with all relevant information.  <br>
•	Provide all information to auditors for preparation of an IRS Form 990.  <br>
•	Create and maintain allocation system suitable for preparation of recurring reports required by the State of New York and other internal reporting needs.<br>
•	Prepare all reports required under the grant agreements for the State of New York.<br>
•	Performs related work as required.<br>

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES:<br>

The Affiliate Accountant has some supervisory responsibility over the payroll accountant and the accounting assistant.<br>

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:<br>

•	Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.<br>
•	At least five years experience in nonprofit accounting, including financial and management reporting.<br>
•	CPA highly preferred but not required.<br>
•	Prior experience in providing bookkeeping and accounting services in a distributed, nationwide, environment a significant plus.<br>
