Flying Scot sailboat in excellent condition, ready to race or day-sail !
This boat was made for the factory representative, so it is extra nice and has been dry-sailed only, never left in the water. Lots of extra gear, including TWO FULL SETS of like-new sails; racing package (spinnaker, pole, rigging) mast-top wind indicator, two sizes of custom-made boat covers (nylon/canvas) and more.
Currently kept at Selby Bay Sailing Center, an all-Flying Scot fleet of privately owned boats. The Scots are easily launched and recovered solo, by lifting bridle and electric cranes and power winches at dockside.
Custom road-worthy TeeNee trailer is included, although vehicle with trailer hitch is not needed at Selby Bay. Electric golf carts easily and safely maneuver boats on trailers to/from the dock, with swift access to the South River and Chesapeake Bay.
This boat is hull no. 4694, built in Maryland and among the most popular sailboat designs in the world. Easily launched and sailed solo, it can comfortably accommodate up to six people. Swift and stable, it is a great family sailboat, and there are competitive one-design races held in the Chesapeake Bay region throughout the year for this popular sailboat fleet.
Length: 19.5 feet
Displacement: 750 lbs.
Draws: 18 inches with centerboard up, 2.5 feet down.
Note: Photos show similar Flying Scots in local races. This boat is considerably newer ... and faster ! Other photos show this boat, FS Vigilant, on its trailer with blue boom-tent cockpit rain cover.
Priced to sell at $7950. No haggling, please. These boats hold their value extremely well, and do not depreciate if well-maintained like this one.
