These dogs are so sleek and elegant! Their owner could no longer care for them and they are each waiting at the Prince George's Animal Management Division shelter hoping to be adopted soon. Borzoi are also sometimes called Russian Wolfhounds and are part of the "sighthound" group of dogs. They are long legged tall dogs that are usually calm and sensitive. All sighthounds have the instinct to "chase" game so it depends on the indivual and whether they were raised with cats etc. as to if they will chase or not. They need a well fenced yard or regular exercise. Inside they are often described as elegant couch potatoes. Come meet these beauties in person soon!

Calvin is a 7 year old male neutered and declawed cat. White and light brown, loving and handsome cat. He is house trained and very calm, doesn't get on furniture well behaved. I got him from a shelter four months ago so he has all his shots and I have his records of when he recieved them. I will give the cat litter box, food trays and a bag of food. Finding a safe, healthy, and reasonably priced place in which to board your dog when you go on a trip is not an easy task. (We know; we have looked for this for our own dogs!) We now hope to make it easier, however.

For $30 a day, we will take care of your precious pet in our own home while you are away. We have two extremely friendly, good-natured beagles of our own with whom your dog could play every day in our enormous, fully secured, and verdant backyard (see photo). One of us is a writer who works from home and keeps an eye on the dogs all day. We give all dogs food, water, exercise, and regular affection. (No extra fees for "play time," dog walking, etc.) In the evening, the dogs are brought indoors and later, for sleeping, put into large crates with cushions. In short, your dog joins the family.

We would require that your dog is healthy, has had his or her shots, and is gentle and good natured (no pitbulls or other potentially aggressive breeds). We typically take in only one dog at a time, but will consider accepting up to two if they belong to the same owner.

The band has gigged regularly for the last couple of years at places like Clyde's of Chevy Chase and Zodiac Grill in Gaithersburg, as well as private functions, etc. We have a couple of gigs on the calendar at Clyde's the soonest being October 1.

HARDY is a sweet, loving brown tabby boy. He is very affectionate and friendly and gives kisses. Hardy is five years old, neutered, and declawed. He has been at the Montgomery County Animal Shelter since June 13.

I saved two kittens form a shelter in rural WV when they where only 4 weeks old. Now they are 6 weeks old. I can't take care of them for much longer. One is a patch tabby that I think is a girl because patch tabbies generally are and one all black kitten that if you look closely has tabby markings. They are both friendly and are using the litter box. They are only available to homes that can spend lots of time with them as they are so young. Some one who works at home or is retired would be PERFECT.

They have had their first set of shots.
