Historic Ice Hockey Goalie Stick--Xmas? (Gaithersburg) $25

This goalie stick was said to be used by the first goalie for the Washington Capitals (Ron Low?) in the game against the New York Rangers (10-9-74). I don't know if the history is accurate. The picture shows the lower part of the stick. The tape covers cracks that render it no usable in a game; the rest of the stick is structurally sound. Price is firm at $25 cash, no checks.

A complete 027 gauge electric train set, with die-cast engine featuring mighty sound of steam working smoke and headlight plus illuminated passenger cars. Layout measures 27� by 54.� This train set has been in the attic for years and looks perfect, and the engine has been tested, with the transformer and works great. I believe the set is complete, as originally sold but there is no paperwork. We are a non-smoking household. $250.00 cash. I have a limited number of beautiful vintage oversized wine bottles that are just like the ones in Pottery Barn.

These are extra large and normally would sell for more than $300 with tax, shipping and handling. Also known as DemiJohns, each of these hand-blown glass bottles is about 21" high. These are very hard to find! These are the last of a special lot that was found in Europe.

I am selling them for $175 each. For an additional $25 you can have the handmade crate that the bottles were put in to transport to restaurants in France. Local pick-up only.

I am picturing a bottle inside and outside of the crate. For the Pottery Barn ad -- the bottles are exactly like the larger of the set.

For your consideration is a new (in its original box and packaging) tea set from China. My husband brought this set back from a trip to China a few years ago. I'm not sure what he was thinking as neither of us drinks any sort of tea! The set includes a small pot and two small cups (with no handles) in a soft jade green with a simple texture all over. The pot has a strainer built into the spout and a lid with a knob on top. The pot is ~3.5" in diameter and ~4" tall with the lid on. the cups are ~2.5" in diameter and ~2" tall.

The only English words that I can find on the box are "Guang Zhou Hengfu Tea Industry Co., Ltd"

It is quite a lovely set and it seems a shame to not have it in use. Perhaps this is just what you need for your afternoon tea?

Beginning in 1934, Hillerich and Bradsby created a series of specially lacquered "black bats" to commemorate the World Series and Division champion from each baseball season. Each ebony bat bears the facsimile signatures of the players (usually in gold) as well as the team name and year. In 1991, due to the rising costs of production and the difficulty of producing high-quality bats in large quantities, Hillerich and Bradsby began to greatly scale back production. As a result, bats from this time period (1991-1998) are much more difficult to find than from other years.

This complete set of Wawel Polish china has never even been out of it's packaging (except for these photographs). It's brand new, was purchased sometime around 1992, and has never been used for anything. 8 place settings. No chips or cracking. 47-piece set. The pattern number is WAV62, and features sprays of flowers in dark pink, blue, coral, and yellow. Genuine gold-leaf around the rims. At this point in time, I'm not considering selling individual pieces, just the whole set.
