We are looking for someone to develop a recommendation plugin similar to LinkedIn's system (yet a bit different - http://corporate.comerecommended.com/2009/08/recommendation-process/).

Currently, our site is built on Rails, but development costs are keeping us from really expanding the site at the rate we want. So, we're exploring switching to WordPress MU/BuddyPress.
