Become a Teacher in Prince George's County! Prince George's County Teaching Fellows
The Prince George’s County Teaching Fellows is looking for talented, motivated recent college graduates and career-changers dedicated to joining us in changing the quality of education provided to the students of Prince George’s County Public Schools. This is an opportunity for outstanding individuals from all academic backgrounds to become part of an initiative that will allow them to train in the summer, become teachers in the fall, and earn a Maryland Standard Professional Certificate. We are currently accepting applications for our 2010 program, and interviews are limited.
Currently PGCTF offers Certification in the Following Areas: • Early Childhood Education (Pre-K – 3rd) • Elementary Special Education (1st – 6th) • Mathematics (7th – 12th) • Math - Special Education (7th – 12th) • Spanish (7th – 12th) • English Language Arts (7th – 12th) • English - Special Education (7th – 12th) • Science - Special Education (7th – 12th) • Social Studies - Special Education (7th – 12th)

Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree (by June 1, 2010) • 2.75 Minimum GPA • Meet MD state testing requirements • Meet subject area eligibility requirements • Have U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
