We currently have a great opportunity for a Health Benefits Manager to join and head our benefits / brokerage division. The Brokerage Manager will oversee the management, design, negotiation and administration of benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, disability, FSA and EAP.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
o Create, facilitate and manage initiative in accordance with the goals of the department to remain competitive within the brokerage marketplace and to increase company revenue.
o Meet revenue goals.
o Serve as benefits point of contact for internal staff.
o Evaluate insurance products on an ongoing basis for internal staff and client partnerships to offer the most cost effective plans available.
o Develop processes for all brokerage processes and facilitate workflows amongst staff.
o Coordinate communications with other departmental heads regarding industry trends, regulations and laws as impacted.
o Maintain communications with Clients and identify key VIP clients to further foster relationships for long term retention.
o Oversee the education and recommend process to clients regarding all insurance coverage based on the dynamics of their organizations at inceptions and renewals.
o Integrate SalesForce as the platform to initiate and track departmental workflows.
o Coordinate efforts with carrier representatives to ensure availability and delivery of appropriate programs.
o Maintain proper industry affiliations.
o Supervise the benefits brokerage team. Meet with team regularly to discuss current items and provide updates.
Requirements:
o At least 5 years of sales experience with large brokerage or health insurance carrier.
o Strong business acumen and negotiation skills and ability to identify opportunities for revenue streams.
o Knowledge and experience with Health, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD and Life insurance highly desired.
o 4 year degree from an accredited institution.
o Client centric approach and superior communications skills.
