JOB TITLE: Forklift Operator

DESCRIPTION: The Forklift Operator is responsible for ensuring that our product is moved within our warehouse in a safe and efficient manner, that proper inventory is maintained, and good housekeeping and manufacturing practices are upheld.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Timely and accurate loading and unloading of tractor-trailer trucks per ticket requirements

* Maintain the integrity of products through proper handling and storage
* Maintain accurate inventories
* Ensure safe operation of a forklift
* Ensure facility maintenance through housekeeping, keeping product and facility secure, and maintaining the assets of the facility.
* Current hours are 7PM-4AM
* This is an hourly position $10.00 to $12.00 per hour
REQUIREMENTS:
* Forklift experience preferred
* Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. as needed

The mail clerk is responsible for :
providing on-site courier/mail services at the SSMC and the WWBG buildings. This will include a minimum of 2 deliveries daily; one at 10 am and 2 pm. The mail clerk should be familiar with the NOAA routing codes by which all the NOAA mails will be sorted.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. The mail clerk is responsible for the Primary and Secondary sorting of mail from the USPS and internal mail from the Washington Metro area. Each clerk is responsible for making at least two daily mail deliveries to the offices within the SSMC building complex (between 10 am and 11 am and the other between 2 pm and 3 pm.) During these deliveries, out going mail will be picked up by the clerk and brought back to the central mailroom for processing. Responsible for delivering boxes and controlled mail such as Registered, Certified, and Express mail within the SSMC Building Complex. Responsible for metering outgoing mail by following the USPS Standards and Procedures set forth. Mail is to be metered according to the NOAA established codes for accounting purposes. Ensure that undeliverable mail is returned to sender by crossing the original address, writing a reason why the mail is being returned, and stamping the mail "Return to Sender". Ensure that the 2 pm mail pick up is delivered to the SSMC 3 loading dock a few minutes before the pick up time. Responsible for logging the registered, certified and insured mail into the USPS Firm Mailing and Dispatch books. Ensure that when instruction is given by the Supervisor, funds are downloaded from TMS into the meters. Responsible for powering up the meters and changing the date, as well as, running the daily reports. Ensure that during mail delivery, if any changes are noticed with the routing codes, the Supervisor is informed immediately. If the clerk comes across any outgoing mail without a return address or routing codes, a HeiTech memo form will be filled and left with the mail for the sender to provide the necessary information. Responsible for arranging mail equipment-hampers, tubs, and mail carts in such a way as to allow enough room for movement and ensure cleanliness in the central mailroom. Responsible for attending to customer needs at the Customer Service window.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. A mailroom clerk must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and must be capable of communicating in and understanding verbal and written English. A mailroom clerk must be able to lift and handle heavy boxes and packages weighing up to 70 pounds. Must be capable of basic arithmetic calculations such as addition, subtraction division and multiplication. A valid drivers license is required
