SEO Assistant for Digital Marketing Agency

FashionablyMarketing.Me is an online marketing agency for fashion and beauty brands. FMM seeks a PART-TIME, junior level SEO assistant in our Washington DC area office. This position will require an organized, multi-tasking professional with a experience in interactive marketing - in particular, search engine optimization and/or paid search engine marketing (SEM).


Qualifications The candidate should be a strategic thinker with experience developing and implementing strategies for SEO and/or SEM. The applicant needs to be tech-savvy with basic knowledge of online media platforms and CMS systems such as Wordpress, Joomla and ExpressionEngine.

• Familiarity with SEO-related software such as, but not limited to, Domainer, Rage, WebPosition, Wordtracker, and Microsoft Excel a plus.
• Gain an understanding of each client's business, target customers, offerings, positioning and messaging, economics/business performance, and other factors that impact their marketing efforts.
• Apply search engine optimization (SEO) techniques to make client websites more relevant to target search terms.
• Identify those target search terms based on relevance, search volume and competitiveness, using Google and other tools.
• Deliver short-term and long-term strategies for increasing organic search traffic;
• Work with Google, Yahoo! and Microsoft search engine advertising platforms to ensure key aspects of campaigns are configured correctly.
• Conduct research, including pulling media kits, reaching out to vendors for initial proposals, analyzing competitors’ ad strategies and creative executions.
• Assist Social Media Manager in executing social media campaigns on Facebook, Twitter other social networking sites.
