General Purpose:
The Director of Business Development is expected to lead sales and marketing efforts that promote our high-end private pay home care agency in Montgomery County and Northwest Washington.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Develop and execute marketing plan.
* Research and identify new sources for client referrals.
* Make contact with new referral sources--geriatric care managers, elder law attorneys, independent living and assisted living communities, hospitals, discharge planners, and other decisionmakers--in person or on the phone (cold calling) according to the established goals.
* Make contact with existing referral sourcesˇXgeriatric care managers, elder law attorneys, independent living and assisted living communities, hospitals, discharge planners, and other decisionmakers--in person or on the phone to maintain good relationships according to the established goals.
* Research, schedule, and successfully execute regular community marketing events including health fairs, senior expos, and any other event that would promote our services to the general public.
* Create and conduct presentations to our referral sources.
* Develop community partnership opportunities.
* Develop and successfully implement, at least monthly, an educational promotion to make a positive impression on all referral sources and distinguish HISC from other companies.
* Follow up on all referral contacts with appropriate correspondence such as thank you notes.
* Provide Owner weekly activity reports.
* Meet or exceed respective operational goals for sales and productivity.
* Complete other duties assigned by the Owner.

Secondary
* Meet with potential clients and their family members to discuss our services.
* Participate in caregiver training meetings three times a year.

Qualifications:
* At least three years experience in marketing and/or healthcare sales such as home care, DME; pharmaceutical sales is strongly preferred
* Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales goals
* Relationship building and networking abilities
* Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and presentations
* Exceptional time management skills
* Innovative thinking and creativity
* Bachelorˇ¦s degree in marketing, PR, or related human service field required
