Senior Java Developer
RNSolutions, Inc., maintains an enterprise of web applications and services that help multiple federal agencies manage the multi-billion dollar federal grant award business process. We are looking for senior software engineers to develop and enhance the enterprise. Our engineering team is working on problems in a number of areas, including system to system interfaces, scalability issues with load and capacity, usability and accessibility upgrades, feature improvements, and refactoring. We're looking for senior software engineers who understand the Internet, follow modern Java, and can apply solutions to a plethora of areas on the project. We follow an Agile/Scrum software development methodology with short iterations and frequent releases. Immediately, you'll start working with experienced developers and contribute to features that might be released just a couple weeks later.
Requirements:
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of software engineering experience in Java.
• Extensive experience with Spring Framework and JPA/Hibernate
• Understanding of modern web application design techniques (JSON, XHR, CSS)
• Web Services experience (JAXWS,JAXRS)
• Can decipher PL/SQL
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfortable coding in every tier of the application.
• Familiar with source code management (SVN), ticketing systems (Jira), knowledge management systems (Wiki), and continuous integration practices.
• Extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience developing/designing large software systems.
• Experience contributing to and consuming Open Source projects a plus.
• Expertise in Ryu fireballs and Mario Kart jump turns not required.
