Analytics Technical Business Analyst / Full-time / Entry Level
Location: Washington, DC Metro (Bethesda, MD)
Duties & Responsibilities:
Individuals joining MarketBridge as a Technical Analytics Business Analyst will be engaged primarily in client project work in our Analytics Business Unit, and secondarily in supporting other members of the Analytics team with any needs relative to database and reporting technologies. The job responsibilities include:
• Data Manipulation & Analysis: Technical analyst will be responsible for assisting in the development and support of relational database reporting environments that facilitate the manipulation, analysis and reporting of client and market data. The analyst may potentially be required to learn and apply various statistical and applied mathematical techniques to understand data relationships and provide further insight and support the recommendations of the overall project team.
• Database/Reporting Technologies: Technical analyst will be responsible for assisting Technical Lead with the configuration, maintenance, administration and testing of the following programs:
o Microsoft SQL Server (including SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)
o Microsoft Office SharePoint Server
o SAS
o SPSS
o Windows Server 2003 (Basic Functions)
• Presentation: Once information is analyzed, you will work with your project team to communicate key findings and recommendations. The ultimate outputs of Analytics projects generally include:
o PowerPoint presentations
o MOSS Dashboards with SSRS and Excel Services
o Self Service reporting tools
The Technical Business Analyst will initially be expected to participate in the modification and formatting of these deliverables and will eventually be involved in creation of key outputs from start to finish.

For this position, we are looking for B.S. or B.A. candidates from Computer Science, Engineering, and Information Systems Programs with the following characteristics:
• Experience with SQL (queries and any advanced functions, such as joins etc.) and/or other relational databases, plus proven proficiency with numbers/statistics.
• Excellent communication skills, including both written and verbal
• Experience in data analysis and problem solving with large amounts of data
• Pro-active, independent thinker with high energy/positive attitude
• Ability to interact effectively with peers in a team-oriented operating structure
• Desire to develop advanced Business Intelligence technical skills through hands-on experience as well as extensive training
Exceptional candidates from other majors than those listed above will also be considered—they should be able to demonstrate significant quantitative capabilities as well as exposure to database technologies/data analysis through work/academic study.
