Altered Atmosphere Motorsports is hiring an experienced TIG Welder!
Job Purpose:
Fabricates components by analyzing requirements; welding parts. Must be able to fabricate and TIG weld aluminum and stainless steel production & custom parts Ability to Tig weld smaller gauge steel, stainless steel and aluminum a priority. Welding test is required as a prerequisite for employment. No relocation or travel expenses provided. Local Candidates only please
Duties:
* Develops welding projects by analyzing work orders, prints, and completed assemblies; calculating requirements; studying metal requirements; determining appropriate welding techniques.
* Collects appropriate materials by studying specifications and component requirements; ordering supplies and gases.
* Fabricates components using shop equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces; setting-up and measuring assemblies and fixtures; selecting appropriate method.
*Build and fabricate jigs and fixtures to facilitate set up times
* Verify welding quality by inspecting and testing welds.
* Documents actions by completing records.
* Maintains safe work environment by following procedure complying with company and legal safety regulations.
* Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
* Accomplishes manufacturing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
* Must have reliable transportation
