The Web and Graphic Design Internship is an exciting opportunity for a design student with exceptional software skills and strong design talent to gain practical experience and contribute on a wide variety of projects.
The intern will learn about print and web production in a professional home-based graphic design firm and have an opportunity to build their portfolio and gain
real life work experience in your field!
Under the direction of the Owner of Alist Graphics the intern will contribute on the following types of projects:
• Design flyers for web and print marketing projects
• Assist in producing the logos and branding materials
• Assist in developing websites using html, php and css as needed
• Support in the monitoring, editing, and development of content on the various websites
• Search for, retouch, edit, and manipulate images as needed
Successful candidate will:
• Possess strong design skills
• Be able to demonstrate proficiency in the following software applications
• Photoshop CS
• Illustrator CS
• Dreamweaver CS
• Microsoft Word
• Have a working knowledge of HTML, PHP and CSS
The following skills are desirable but not necessary:
• Software: Flash, Fireworks
• Web technologies: MySQL, etc
• Familiarity with social networking sites: Facebook, Myspace
This position starts at internship level and could possibly lead up to a full time position. Work hours are very flexible and the chosen candidate may be able to work from home.
Compensation: This is an unpaid internship & perfect for a college student that needs college credits.
Incentive: A weekly stipend could be earned based on performance and quality of work.
