A small consulting firm is looking for a Bookkeeper / Office Administrator to assist with managing and maintaining their financials and help with general administrative needs of the office. We are located only 1-1/2 blocks from Metro in Arlington near the Courthouse with a friendly and relaxed office.

Position is part-time at 15 to 20 hours per week. Candidates who also include a cover letter will be favorably considered; take the time to tell us a little bit about yourself and why you're interested in a part-time job


Description:
* Manage bookkeeping and accounting systems with Quickbooks and Excel
* Process payables and receivables
* Process receipts
* Record payroll entries (Payroll handled by outside vendor).
* Prepare monthly journal entries and related schedules
* Complete bank and other account reconciliations
* Prepare monthly financial statements and complete close package
* Assist with general administrative needs of the office.

• Requirements:
• Documented experience in Bookkeeping/ Accounting/ Business Administration
• Knowledge and proficiency of Quickbooks, and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to function as a team member with the ability to exercise good judgment
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Self starter
• Excellent analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
